Travel Requirements:
Brazil operates a visa policy based on the principle of reciprocity. This means that almost all countries that require Brazilian nationals to have a visa to enter their territory will also require a visa to travel to Brazil.
🛂Required documentation to travel to Brazil:
Passport: To travel to Brazil from Spain or another European country, you must have a valid passport (a national identity card is not valid). It must be valid for at least six months from your planned date of departure from Brazil and have blank pages. It is also important that the passport is not damaged.
Visa for Brazil: Spanish nationals and citizens of many European countries do not require a visa for Brazil if they are travelling for tourism or business purposes and their stay is for up to 90 days. For longer stays or paid work, it will be necessary to apply for a visa.
Proof of Onward Travel: Brazilian immigration authorities may require proof of onward travel, such as a round-trip ticket or a confirmed ticket showing your departure from Brazil, upon arrival.
Proof of Sufficient Financial Means: Brazilian immigration authorities may, in some cases, request proof that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay. As a general guideline, this is approximately BRL 170 per person, per day.
Proof of Accommodation: Brazilian immigration authorities may request proof of accommodation, such as a confirmed hotel booking, a travel itinerary, or an invitation letter if you are staying at a private residence.
Travel Tip: For a smoother journey, keep all your travel documents readily available on your mobile device and, whenever possible, carry printed copies of your hotel reservations, flight confirmations, travel insurance, and itinerary.
